Patch Placement Basics

Placement of your patch is EXTREMELY important and is most frequently the cause of an individual not experiencing the relief they seek. Patience is key!

Step 1:

Identify the location where you feel the most discomfort. DO NOT use the adhesive to attach your patch yet.

Step 2:

Start by holding the patch directly over the area of discomfort.

Step 3:

If you do not experience relief in minutes, move the patch in small increments (approximately 1” at a time) around the area, waiting a minute before moving again.

Step 4:

Once you have found the spot where the patch gives you relief, secure the patch in place using whatever method is best for you (using the included adhesive, athletic tape, or wrap, etc.)

Step 5:

For the best results, leave the patch on overnight. You can try this in multiple areas each day to see what works best. Remember, be patient!

Hand & Wrist

Step 1:

Place the patch on the back of your hand just over the base of your knuckles.

Step 2:

After 3-4 minutes, slowly begin moving the patch toward your wrist.

Step 3:

If necessary, keep moving the patch in small increments (approximately 1” at a time) up your arm.

Step 4:

Repeat steps 1-3 until you have no more discomfort in your hand or wrist.

Step 5:

For thumb discomfort, hold the patch over the base of your thumb for 3-4 minutes.

Step 6:

Slowly move the patch toward your wrist and up the arm until all discomfort subsides.

Step 7:

If you feel discomfort returning, immediately put the patch back on the source and you should feel relief within 1-2 minutes.

Tip:

Cut the fingers off a cotton gardening glove and wear it over the patch to keep your Signal Relief in place on your hand.
