Patch Placement Basics

Placement of your patch is EXTREMELY important and is most frequently the cause of an individual not experiencing the relief they seek. Patience is key!

Step 1:

Identify the location where you feel the most discomfort. DO NOT use the adhesive to attach your patch yet.

Step 2:

Start by holding the patch directly over the area of discomfort.

Step 3:

If you do not experience relief in minutes, move the patch in small increments (approximately 1” at a time) around the area, waiting a minute before moving again.

Step 4:

Once you have found the spot where the patch gives you relief, secure the patch in place using whatever method is best for you (using the included adhesive, athletic tape, or wrap, etc.)

Step 5:

For the best results, leave the patch on overnight. You can try this in multiple areas each day to see what works best. Remember, be patient!

Headaches

Step 1:

Hold the patch in place where you feel it the most.

Step 2:

After 2-3 minutes, you may notice that your discomfort has moved. Follow it with the patch.

Step 3:

After another 3-4 minutes, it should be gone.

Step 4:

Once you no longer feel discomfort, place the patch at the base of your neck on the right and left side for 3-4 minutes each.

Step 5:

If you feel your head discomfort returning, immediately place the patch back where you feel it the most and it should disappear within 1-2 minutes.

Swap sides.

Step 7:

Do a full range of motion to check for any more tension. (Don’t just fix it until your relief level is “good enough”. Continue using the patch until the tension is completely gone.)
