Patch Placement Basics
Placement of your patch is EXTREMELY important and is most frequently the cause of an individual not experiencing the relief they seek. Patience is key!
Step 1:
Identify the location where you feel the most discomfort. DO NOT use the adhesive to attach your patch yet.
Step 2:
Start by holding the patch directly over the area of discomfort.
Step 3:
If you do not experience relief in minutes, move the patch in small increments (approximately 1” at a time) around the area, waiting a minute before moving again.
Step 4:
Once you have found the spot where the patch gives you relief, secure the patch in place using whatever method is best for you (using the included adhesive, athletic tape, or wrap, etc.)
Step 5:
For the best results, leave the patch on overnight. You can try this in multiple areas each day to see what works best. Remember, be patient!
Knee Pain
Step 1:
Move your knee until you find the source of your discomfort / tension.
Step 2:
Hold the patch over the source area for 3-4 minutes.
Step 3:
After 3-4 minutes, move the patch on top of your knee for another 3-4 minutes.
Step 4:
If you feel discomfort returning, immediately put the patch back on the source and you should feel relief within 1-2 minutes.
Step 5:
Once the pain has subsided, do a full range of motion to check for any more discomfort. (Don’t just fix it until it’s “good enough”. Continue using the patch until the tension / discomfort is completely gone.)
Step 6:
Leave the patch on the most tense area of your knee overnight.
